October 21, 2014

MCF Summer Basketball first round of the playoff came to a conclusion.

OPEN DIVISION:

Morningstar vs. Element - this two teams battled it out until the end, it was a back and forth efforts both inside and outside. A heated battle was ensued by both kept their composure as Morningstar edged Element 64-63.

SENIOR DIVISION:

Lapsley vs. Golden Warriors - classic match up between this two teams. Both played smart and composed throughout the game. These two teams reminded us of Lakers vs. Celtics playoffs during the 80's, everything was about basic fundamentals of basketball. They have patience, strategy, leadership and high IQ in the game of basketball. It was toe to toe until the end with Lapsley winning over the G Warriors 60-51.

Knights vs. Golden Care - this game was looked up as probably one of the best game of the night. Both have BIG presence inside and outside. With Golden Care missing one of their key player Roland due to the passing of his father (R.I.P), this was a tough battle for them. Knights who is equally equipped had stepped up their game having their complete roster in hand. The first upset of the playoffs wasgiven last Sunday by Golden Care beating Knights 74-63.
